Account

General  — Fri 27 May 2022

An account in Daxto is equivalent to a person. Each person can create an account for free. This account can be used to participate in existing Daxto environments by email invitation, or you can use your account to open your own Daxto environment.

With one account you can participate unlimitedly in different environments. Both your own environment, multiple own environments and even environments of others. All at the same time. For example, you can open an environment for your own company while using the same account to participate in the environment of another company.

Whether you have a business, are an employee or perhaps a financial expert, in the article on users you will learn more about how to participate in environments, or open your own. If you're going to open your own environment, the Starting with Daxto article ties in perfectly with this.

Account settings and logging out

At the top of each page you will find the Account button. Once opened by clicking or tapping it, a menu appears. Through this menu the settings of an account can be viewed and adjusted. It is also possible to log out via this menu.

Access to environments

An account only has access to environments opened with that account as well as environments that the account has been invited to, after the invitation code has been used.

Send an invitation

If you want to invite an account (person) to your environment, you can do so through Menu and then EnvironmentSettings Choose settingsUsers. When creating the invitation on that page, you also choose the role of that account in your environment. This will give that account certain rights in that specific environment.

Accept an invitation

If you received an email invitation to participate in an environment, first make sure you have a Daxto account. You can create one for free. Then log in to the account. If you already have an account, then log it in. Then go to the overview of the Daxto environments your account has access to, even if there are none yet. You can find that overview via MenuEnvironments. At the bottom of the page you will see the option to enter an invitation code, in order to participate in the environment to which you have been invited.

Blocking an account from accessing an environment

An environment can go via Menu to EnvironmentSettings Choose SettingsUsers to block an account that has been previously invited. If an account is blocked then it cannot access that environment anymore. Using the same settings the blocking of an account can be lifted at a later moment. Then that account can enter the environment again.
